Mead is an alcoholic drink made only with honey, also known as chouchen in Brittany. Mead is known as "the drink of the gods". Founded in 1929, it was the Cornouaille mead factory that made chouchen famous in France. The company was awarded the "Mercure d'Or" in 1995 by the Minister of Craftsmanship.
