The dry white wine IGP Côtes de Gascogne produced by Domaine l'Enclos is made from a blend of two grape varieties, Ugni Blanc and Colombard. These two grape varieties are commonly used in the region to produce dry, fresh and aromatic white wines. The grapes are grown in the hills of Gers, in the southwest of France, where the mild oceanic climate allows a slow and regular ripening.
After harvesting, the grapes are pressed and the juice is fermented at a low temperature to preserve the aromas and freshness of the wine. The resulting wine has a pale yellow colour with green highlights. On the nose, it reveals aromas of white-fleshed fruits such as apple, pear and peach, as well as floral notes such as jasmine and hawthorn.
On the palate, the wine is dry and lively, with well-balanced acidity. The fruit and floral aromas linger, offering a fresh and persistent finish. This wine pairs well with light dishes such as salads, seafood and grilled fish. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif or with fresh cheeses and nuts.
